José Clastonik is leaving the government of Uruguay and we want to say thank you.
Over the last 12 years, Uruguay has been an example of digital transformation that managed to transcend political mandates, establishing digital public policies and providing many countries with a path to imitate to achieve a digital, inclusive and accessible society. These digital services would not have been built without help from José:
José has been the digital leader in Latin America for 12 years. From 1 March 2020, he’ll leave his role as Executive Director of Agesic, the digital agency of Uruguay, following the election of President LaCalle Pou.
We visited José during 2017, 2018 and took part of Agesic’s 10th anniversary.
Uruguay is a member of D9 and an exemplar of successful digital transformation in south America. It has set out its future direction in a digital strategy.
We want to wish José good luck and thank him for his leadership and generosity with the countries of Latin America.
Onwards!
