Matt is a technology and digital product specialist, with extensive experience in the healthcare sector.

He believes strongly in the value of empowered, user-centred delivery teams as a success factor for services, and has led a variety of different teams to deliver national healthcare digital services such as NHS 111 online and NHS Directory of Services.

Since 2020, he has been at the centre of the UK’s Covid-19 response delivering the digital platform for the UK Covid-19 National Testing Service.

Matt has been providing consultancy to the healthcare public sector since 2015, leading a number of different teams building and operating national products and services for both citizens and healthcare professionals. He co-designed the interoperability that underpins the NHS’s urgent and emergency care system, and is an advocate of addressing the human challenges of interoperability as well as the technical aspects.
